Kirk Buckhout began his standup career in 2001, while still in college.

Buckhout represented Arizona as a finalist in the college category of the Laugh Across America Contest in 2002.  Buckhout returned in the Mainstream category of the  Laugh Across America Contest in 2004 where he was one of just 10 comedians selected to audition for Eddie Brill, the talent booker of the Late Show with David Letterman.

After 2004 Buckhout toured all over the country, working on my act in front of every type of audience imaginable.  Buckhout has described his act as, "Me amplified.  I hit the stage with more emotion and energy, but I attempt to be me on stage, not some character."

Currently Buckhout is co-producing and performing every Wednesday at the Hidden House in Phoenix, Arizona.   The Hidden House show has been featured in Shecky Magazine, the College New Times, and many others.  Enjoy clips of previous Hidden House shows on ITunes, Youtube, Myspace, and www.quired.com by searching Hidden House Comedy.
